Knowledge map
Knowledge Mape Davenport, Prusak and Daft talked about a concept related to the concept of knowledge management which is a knowledge map, which is an inventory of an organization’s assets of individuals, documents, databases, etc. Whether this map is an actual map or a database, it indicates knowledge, but it does not contain it. Hence, it is a guide, not a repository. The process of developing a knowledge map includes identifying where the important knowledge is located within the organization.
Tacit knowledge is the personal knowledge that individuals possess in their minds, and is difficult to transfer fully to others, and it has two dimensions: the first is technical, and the second is cognitive. The declared knowledge is the knowledge that is articulated and detailed clearly, codified, and recorded. Two Japanese experts, Nonaka and Takeuchi, provided a model illustrating how organizations can generate knowledge. They pointed out that knowledge can be generated and transmitted through interaction between individuals.
Knowledge management strategies
